Hi, I’m Rylie.

I’m a digital marketing student and aspiring marketing professional with a passion for understanding how brands connect with people online. I’m currently earning my Bachelor of Science in Digital Marketing at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, where I’ve been fortunate to build a strong foundation in marketing strategy, consumer behavior, marketing analytics, and social media marketing.

My interest in digital marketing comes from the combination of creativity and data. I enjoy the process of developing ideas, building campaigns, and then analyzing the results to understand what worked and how to improve. Whether it’s creating social media content, planning a digital campaign, or analyzing performance metrics, I’m always interested in how thoughtful marketing strategy can help organizations grow and reach the right audience.

During my studies, I’ve had the opportunity to develop and present a full digital marketing campaign project. This involved identifying a target audience, creating campaign messaging, planning digital content, and defining the key analytics needed to measure campaign success. Projects like this helped me understand how digital marketing strategy, SEO, and marketing analytics work together to support real business goals.

Outside of the classroom, I’ve gained valuable experience working in fast-paced, people-focused environments. At Pet Suites Doggy Daycare, I managed groups of dogs in a high-energy setting where safety, organization, and attention to detail were essential. At Chili’s Grill & Bar, I learned how to manage multiple priorities while delivering excellent customer service. These experiences taught me patience, communication, adaptability, and how to stay calm under pressure — skills that translate directly into professional teamwork and marketing environments.

Leadership has also been an important part of my college experience. As Director of Programming and Events for the Epsilon Eta chapter of Alpha Phi, I’ve been responsible for planning and coordinating events that bring students together and support chapter initiatives. This role has helped me develop leadership, organization, and project management skills while collaborating with a team to execute successful events.

Academically, I’ve maintained strong performance throughout my time at Old Dominion University and have been honored to earn Dean’s List recognition multiple times during my studies.

As I continue my journey into the marketing field, I’m excited to keep learning and growing in areas like digital marketing strategy, content marketing, social media management, SEO, and marketing analytics. My goal is to contribute to marketing teams that value creativity, collaboration, and data-driven decision making.

Thanks for taking the time to learn a little about me and my journey.
